A dry spell in the middle of the season can undo a whole crop of tobacco. A self-priming portable pump is the cheapest insurance against it: one person can carry it to the water source, start it, and move water all afternoon. We supply a full range from light 1.5-inch gasoline pumps for seedbeds up to 4-inch diesel workhorses for daily irrigation and drainage — plus trailer-mounted 8-inch units for large-scale flood irrigation.

For seedbed and small-plot irrigation a 1.5–2 inch pump is usually enough. For larger fields, river pumping or long horizontal runs, choose a 3–4 inch pump with higher flow. Tell us your water source, lift height and field size — we will recommend the right model, usually within one working day.
Gasoline pumps are lighter, cheaper and easier to maintain — good for small plots and seasonal use. Diesel pumps burn less fuel over long pumping hours and last longer under daily heavy use. In areas with unreliable fuel supply, diesel is often the safer choice.
